Jack Wolfskin Ice Portage Texapore Jacket - Waterproof, Insulated, 3-in-1 (For Women)

I have purchased products from Sierra Trading Post for over 20 years. Other than sizing issues, which is prevalent with women's clothing, I have been extremely satisfied with my purchases until now. This jacket does not zip easily. Two-thirds of the time I try to zip this jacket, it does not zip. When wearing the liner, the liner comes through the cuff when my arm goes in. When wearing my helmet, there is no place to tuck the hood. I forgot to check for this feature. On windy days, I feel the wind through the jacket whether I am wearing the liner or not.
The jacket does fit well. It is waterproof.

I am very happy with the design and construction of this coat. The description of the product is accurate and it is very comfortable. I am 5'8", 149 lbs,, and my daughter is 6', 140 lbs, and we both wear a Large. The sleeves and slightly longer jacket length are very good for both of us. I wore my new coat in rainy Seattle recently and it was perfect. The zippered pockets work well and I appreciate the interior hidden pocket on the shell. The zip out liner is form fitting and attractive and can be worn alone when you want a little warmth on a dry day.

Wanted so much for this to work. The construction is exceptional. Great 2 way zippers, pit zips, pocket zips on both outer & inner shell; easily adjustable Velcro cuffs; wind flap; nice hood coverage. However, it sadly isn't going to work for me. 1) I agree with the previous reviewer in that the hot pink lining should go. I got the green color and that hot pink not only lines the jacket, it lines the hood as well! Very noticeable when wearing with hood down. This could/should have been made visible by STP. 2) I got the XL. I have a 42" bust (38 C-D bra, size 16). This was too tight to have any layer at all. The only way I could wear it would be with a very thin t-shirt. Also, because I'm pear shaped, the jacket was also too snug around my almost 46" hips. (the jacket measures exactly 46" at the point it hits my hips.) Again, okay if I'm only wearing a very thin legging but not regular pants. 3) The stretch panels that run the length of the underside of the arms of the liner jacket make it difficult to slip over a shirt or sweater....can be done, just not a smooth slip on. And while these stretch panels under the arms and down the sides of the liner jacket give mobility, it also takes away the insulation in these areas.
It is a bit noisy, but I've come to expect that with waterproof jackets. I would probably have kept it had it fit, because it was on a very good deal, quite versatile and it has everything I was looking for. Before sending back, I'll see if a family member who wears a size 12 wants it.

I like the jacket very much. It replaces a North Face that I lost earlier in the summer. I was surprised to find the inside lining of this jacket to be bubble gum pink!! I am not a fan of pink but like every other aspect of the jacket. I probably would not have purchased this if that information would have been visible. I am keeping it and will work on a fix for the pink. I am giving only 3 stars for non disclosure of lining color. Jacket itself can carry 5
