Having read some of the previous reviews, let me start by saying I have never flown this outside. Bluetooth range is so limited I do not believe it should be flown outside. Anything can happen once you leave range. Besides, who wants to risk losing their Legos? I purchased this mini drone as an indoor toy.
I was pleased that it came with a variety of stickers for customization, but I ended up leaving it plain. I want all of my design to come from Legos. I chose to make a Batcopter for Batgirl as my first project. I was very impressed with the amount of weight it could take and still perform well in flight. It still maintains level flight even though my design is not perfectly balanced. The photo ability is fun. It can still perform all of its stunts and functions with blocks and a figure attached. The flight app allows you to record from your phone and transfer the drone photos to your phone via Bluetooth.
I was fortunate to purchase this for $40 with shipping--much better than the $70 price at Target. As a $40 Lego indoor mini drone, I could not be happier with this product. A dream come true.
