If you got really big guns this isn't for you but great for a more athletic build. I'm 6'1" about 175 and the large is perfect. The material isn't ultra light but lighter than a tactical softshell for sure. If you want this as an outer layer over an insulator I would go up a size, but great with just a base layer.

It has more of an athletic cut from my other Mountain Hardware jackets. Sleeves a bit narrow so if you have larger arms this may not be the best fit or order up a size.

I find it is a perfect weight for most chilly fall and spring days (20 - 40 deg), with a midweight layer underneath, it becomes even more versatile. Fit is fairly athletic, especially in the arms.

Large would work for a big chested man with thin arms. Extra Large is baggy all around compared to other XLs. -

It looks great, I would recommend the jacket, if your slim and athletic, it would be a great fit.

Way, way heavier than you think....Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Chicago on Thursday, November 12, 2015I loved my older Mountain Hardwear shell (it got me through a cold-ish winter in France for several weeks)...of course, the zipper pulls broke off, then the zippers ripped away, and it was time to buy a new MH shell. This Android 2 Soft Shell is nice jacket, but it is far thicker and heavier than I thought it would be....I wanted a soft shell, not a lighter winter weight coat. I want to like this, but, unfortunately I will be returning this.
