5.0 out of 5 stars. Love this jacket!

Perfect lightweight, longer length rain jacket to wear all year in Seattle. 5' 9" , 140 lbs and medium leaves room to layer for winter. First day walked a mile in a downpour and kept dry. Attachable hood has great coverage. Very stylish as well.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. WaterPROOF

Not beautiful, but just the right combo of features for my upcoming trip. Roomy enough to put a fleece layer under it, nice longer length for protection against wet weather, detachable hood, and water PROOF, not just "resistant."
  • 2.0 out of 5 stars. Beautiful but odd proportions

I liked it until I tried it on. Fit my 38" hips well but seriously smashed my 34C chest when zipped.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. 5 Days in the PNW

Just got back from a 5 day trip to BC. Temps were 4-8 C/45-50 F. Rained most of the time and this jacket performed very well. A+ for waterproof. B for wind resistance. Loved the urban look, I could go from hiking in the forest to dinner out without changing jackets. The high neck and hood was also perfect. Will replace all other rain jackets I have with this one. Fits true to size. I have the XS (for reference 5ft, 100lbs). I have very long arms and this jacket was perfect in arm length.

Very nice, simple, modern style. Lightweight, love the longer length. Runs a bit small, so if you're debating, size up. It's not a noisy fabric, but you can hear your movements.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
