When I tried them on, it was obvious that the red pair was roomier in the waist and in the legs. I released the velcro waist straps and did some measuring. The red pair had a 39" waist, the yellow pair, 37". I measured them across a leg just above my knees. The red pair had 3" more than the yellow pair. If I had to layer up for a very cold day on the slopes, the extra 3" could come in handy. All that aside, I have a similar OmniTech Bugaboo pair that has suspenders and a bottom cuff without a snap closure. Other than those two differences, they seem identical to the Bugaboo II and they are quite warm. I was very happy with them on numerous days at zero F or below.
