用乐高积木搭建的“超级飞船”,上帝之眼观看苹果总部

苹果集团最近在最新的总部发布了2018年的发布会，这次也是首次在刚建成不久的苹果集团总部开发布会。而这个在太空中都可以看到的巨大圆环，也是前苹果总裁已故的乔布斯的梦想。同时也是乔布斯先生设计的。

这个坐落在加州的巨大飞船，名字就叫做Apple Park，占地面积280万平方英尺（约合26万平方米）。该建筑耗时8年时间完工，总花费达50亿美元（约合330亿人民币）。乔布斯剧院处在环形总部大楼附近，专门用于举办发布会等重大活动，最多可容纳1.2万人，剧院的外观玻璃幕墙高20英尺（约6米），直径165英尺（约50.2米）。屋顶是有史以来最大的碳纤维独立屋顶，重达80吨，由44块面板组成。

新总部大楼为环状建筑，中间是大型庭院，用史蒂夫·乔布斯生前自己的话来形容，新大楼像“一艘着陆的宇宙飞船”，而美国媒体则将其比喻成“巨型玻璃甜甜圈”。

About:

I am interested in using LEGO as both a sculpturing and engineering modeling medium. My goal is to achieve a "mind's eye" level of modeling realism within the inherent limits imposed by element discretization and material costs. My primary concentration over the past couple of years has been building replicas of famous skyscrapers at a common scale.

Apple Park is the new 176 acre headquarter campus of Apple Inc. located in Cupertino California.

Its signature architectural element is a four-story ring-shaped office building, sometimes dubbed "The Spaceship". The enormous building is nearly a mile in circumference, contains approximately 2.8 million square feet of office space, and is home to 12,000 employees.

Surrounding it is a sculpted landscape of rolling hills, trees, and grasslands. Nearly 80% of the campus is green space and it features 9000 trees.

The Apple Park campus design was led by famed architect Norman Foster who worked closely with late Apple CEO Steve Jobs.

Apple Park was built at an estimated cost of $5 billion.

Ground was broken in 2013 and the first office workers began arriving in early 2017.

I've always wanted to build a horizontal skyscraper. These are sometimes also called "groundscrapers".

In 2014 I came across some drone footage of an enormous circular excavation being dug into the California earth. When I discovered this was the start of the foundation for a new low-rise Apple "spaceship" campus, I knew I had found an interesting and suitable candidate.

With a footprint of more than 28,000 square studs this model is nearly as large as all my other LEGO skyscraper builds combined.

The model's facade is constructed in segments using white LEGO 1x2 rail plates and trans-black plates.

A faceted approach to approximating the curvature of a round building is a traditional approach in both LEGO and in actual building construction.

This is in stark contrast to the actual Apple Park "Spaceship" which is truly a round building using the largest panels of curved glass in the world. Each outer ring glass panel is 15m in length and the inner ring panels are 11m long.

Using various considerations for the LEGO model's scale and symmetry, the math worked out to 144 outer ring segments and 112 inner segments. The ring is about 2.5ft in diameter.
